I've heard a lot about chaga (sp) and am interested in that along with a mushroom similar to reishi called oregonese that grows here in the PNW. I'll let you know what I find out!

Re: Shrooms

It's amazing Jim, I had no idea myself a year ago. Necessity is the mother of invention, or in this case, finding some alternative health remedies courtesy of my Naturopath! They sure do look like they are from another planet! I hope Wendi finds some really good herbs to heal!

Re: Shrooms

I'd love to hear more about Wendy's research into immune system functioning. FWIW, I had systemic Lyme from 1995-1998 or so...cured it without antibiotic therapy. Have focused a lot in my life on mind-body medicine to enhance the immune system.
Have had some experiences of feeling incredible mushroom energy go quickly into my bloodstream and it felt great. Would love to learn more!

Re: Shrooms

Mushrooms have always kind of freaked me out, as though they were some kind of alien life form. They're just so... weird! But still, I do find them absolutely fascinating. I'm sure Wendi will happen by here at some point. She's been doing a lot of research into immune system boosting lately because of the Lyme. I wonder what she'll think of mushrooms as part of that research.

Re: Shrooms

lol ID! It is good in stuff, I'll agree! Yet as a kid we were pretty visual. Generation Lucky Charm. I feel for kids now whose breakfast basically glows in the dark!

Re: Shrooms

I LOVE learning about this. (I grew up loving Cream of Mushroom Soup...but everyone else sure thought it wasn't...hee.)

Re: Shrooms

Thanks Antony! Like so many things that are "good for us" the trade off is in flavor! I suggest making your own capsules, its really easy, kindof zen if you get me. I need to make a video on that. Glad you enjoyed those Reishi capsules. They are so great!

Sam

Re: Shrooms

So glad you enjoyed that video! I bought a bottle of New Chapter Reishi Mushrooms recently and I definitely think they did me good. They're so expensive though! I bought some reishi mushroom powder from Kate Wood's Raw Living and - oh dear - it's DISGUSTING in powder form. I need to work out how to use the powder in a way that hides the taste. Perhaps I'll also buy some more New Chapter Reishi and Cordycep capsules as well and take once capsule of each for a while ...

Re: Shrooms

This guy is blowing my mind...what a genius.
